Šípková Stodola is an authentic rural complex on the outskirts of the village of Džbánov, not far from Vysoké Mýto. Covering an area of approximately 14,000 m², it features several interconnected spaces—an original rural farmstead, a rustic barn, an enclosed courtyard, a garden, a meadow, a paddock, and surrounding fields.
The centerpiece of the complex is the original farmstead with marlstone and brick masonry, wooden beams, and a spacious attic with a gabled roof. The separate barn, with an area of approximately 173 m², opens onto the courtyard and features a bar and full catering facilities. There are also simpler, empty spaces available that can be adapted to suit filming requirements.
The complex is suitable for period and contemporary stories, family films, TV series, fairy tales, romantic projects, music videos, commercials, and fashion and photography shoots. Thanks to the combination of a farmhouse, a barn, a courtyard, a garden, and the surrounding countryside, several different settings can be utilized in a single day of filming without the need for lengthy travel between locations.
Another advantage for film crews is the site’s easy accessibility and practical facilities. Both passenger cars and trucks can access the individual buildings; there is parking for approximately 30 cars directly on the premises, and 230 V and 400 V electrical outlets are available. The complex includes restroom facilities, catering equipment, and, during the summer season, accommodation for up to 40 people.
Šípková Stodola is a location that film productions have yet to discover. So far, it has primarily been used for advertising and photography projects, as well as wedding photo shoots.
