Castle hill Litomyšl

Most of the buildings on the Castle Hill underwent a vast reconstruction within the years 2010-2015, when renowned Czech architects introduced the concept of contemporary architectural features in the historical area.

The building of former castle brewery offers, apart from accommodation, two multifunctional halls – the Vaulted Hall (with a capacity of 200 people) and the Pillar Hall (with a capacity of 100 people; part of which is a bar and a connected kitchen to prepare food and refreshments for banquets etc.). The two halls neighbour each other and can be used together. In the same building, it is possible to visit the native flat of Bedřich Smetana (furnished in the style of early 19^th century), which can be accessed from the castle courtyard.

The riding-hall, the largest multifunctional hall on the Castle Hill (with a capacity up to 600 people) is interesting for its unusual inner laminate design. Thanks to a sliding stage, the room can be adjusted as for its size. Acoustic ceilings can adapt the sound according to the type of upcoming event. The room is accessible from the upper courtyard and also from the halls of the castle brewery.

Similarly designed interior can be found in the so-called Carriage House. On the ground floor of this building, there is a café with the dominating use of laminate (including the bar, tables and seats). On the first floor, there is a co-working office (with laminate features as well) and a small conference room.
