The cafe building was built at the very beginning of the 20th century and its lower floor has been very busy for a long time. It first served as a shop, later as a coffee roaster. The current owners of Milan and Marek Bajero were allowed to restore the tradition and in 1998 they opened the Ve dvore cafe here.
The walls are filled with period advertisements of Francek coffee, Cologne chicory, Hellada soap, Smetol tea margarine, Maggi soup cubes, Vebrovka natural mineral water from Wrocław, Stollwerck chocolate, Bensdorp cocoa and lots and lots of others. The owner has added an old American stove to the cafe and a huge National cash register that makes an old-fashioned jingle every time the drawer is pulled out. He gradually added to the two original rooms a winter garden, a small backyard with a terrace and two other large rooms facing the street. Cast iron tables with marble tops instead of the usual plastic and piano player.
